Completely "WOW'd"

The other day, I got a text message from a friends saying that I will be getting a package in the mail and to look out for it. I was excited from the word "package". I love mail! That is why I still send snail mail letters. Everyone loves getting something in the mail. I remember when Josh and I first got married, because going to the mailbox was like a surprise party, you never knew what was going to be in there...maybe a package or a card with money! Now days it's just been full of bills, but as silly as it sounds I still get excited opening them up too, hoping they might be smaller than they actually are, Ha! So from the word package I was excited. Sadly I wasn't the one to receive it, my husband was. However, he knows how weirdly passionate I am about packages, so he just brought it in and waited until I got off work. When I finally came home, I was expecting a small envelope (honestly, I thought it was going to be packages of her child that I asked for...boy little did I know!), to my surprise it was this huge honking box. As I tore through the tape and cardboard, tears swelled from my eyes to only see this....

I still didn't have any clue as to what it was until I opened it and noticed it was an album of my wedding that I thought was forgotten. Josh and I haven't been able to afford our Wedding Album because we just recently both have jobs. So my friend, Ashleigh, that helped me design it made me a "make-shift" album until I am able to afford our "real" album. However, no matter how much I pay for the other this one will always have more meaning to me. Here are a couple shots from the inside.

This is one of the most meaningful gifts that I have ever gotten. So to those who are out there reading this blog, go "WOW" someone today that you think might not need "WOW'ing". Who am I to be "WOW'd"? No matter who I am, I was certainly stunned by this gift. Sometimes, friends just know when you need a "pick-me-up". This is truly a blessing in disguise!

Thank you Ashleigh for your thoughtful, selfish-less gift. Because of you I am inspired to be on the outlook for that person that might just need to be "WOW'd"

LOVE YOU!

Auburn University Tigers are National Champions!!

I can hardly believe it! My alma mater has won the National Championship Game! It was a long game, but we finally pulled through. I could not be anymore proud of my school than I am right now. It has been over 50 years since we won. So it was due time to win this!

Josh and I are so lucky to live in a town where the word "family" brings on new meaning. As soon as the game we over we ran over to Toomer's to take part in our tradition of rolling Toomer's. There was so many people there, you could hardly breathe. I joked with some other AU fans, "Thank God we are all family, because I would never get this close to a stranger!" It was quite refreshing to see so many happy people enjoying the company of others no matter how crowded it was.

When we arrived the first time I realized I had my camera but no card to go in it. So we just enjoyed being there and made some memories, only to come back later to get some great shots. Here are a few of the ones I got the second time at Toomer's for the night.

There were so many people that it was almost scary

There was so much toilet paper that it covered the ground, very much like snow

My Auburn Wreath

One night this week Josh and I went to Hobby Lobby to indulge my crafty side. Since, I've started back at work I haven't had a chance to be as crafty as I normally am. I found this cute wreath on this blog that I follow, and I just had to try it. I decided to go with Auburn colors since where I live it's easy to keep year round. Isn't it cute?

Johnny and June

Happy New Year!! Gosh, I can't believe that it is already 2011. This year is the first year that Josh hasn't had to work for New Years, so we went big. We went to Nashville, TN to see the guitar drop. It was sooo much fun! We were only there for two nights, but were able to go to Opryland, Country Music Museum, and the Bash on Broadway. In the future, we plan on staying a little longer. There were tons that we just didn't have the time to do.

However, I did buy my first Cowgirl boots in Nashville. They are gorgeous! I have named them Johnny and June (as in Cash) I figured my first pair I should give them names. There are more pictures on Facebook, but here are a couple.

Ahhh back to the real world on Monday. Geesh, it's going to be hard!
