Happy Campers for our 2 Year Anniversary

So as many of you know, we celebrated our 2 year anniversary today. Gosh, it's been hard to believe that we have been married for 2 whole years. We decided to go camping to celebrate. Here are our pictures..

2nd Dinner (Hobo Stew)

Real Hikers, makes our small little hike so insignificant.

Needless to say, it was a gorgeous trip. We enjoyed it significantly! Our only complaint was that it wasn't long enough.

Now back to the real world... : (

Go-Bag

As many of you know, the recent tornadoes in Alabama have destroyed several homes. Josh and I refill gum ball machines in Tuscaloosa, which is where the tornadoes hit the most. The second place that the tornadoes hit the most is in Cullman, which is where Josh is from. Seeing the destruction on tv is nothing like experiencing it first hand.

So after seeing how fast your whole world can be turned upside down, We have decided to create a "Go-Bag". We want to be as prepared as we can be in situations like a tornado or any other mis-fortunate event. I used this website (http://72hours.org/go_bag.html) as a guide but added several things not on the list for other events such as theft.

I added a list of items in our wallets, including credit card numbers and customer help numbers, a list of high priced items serial numbers/model numbers, and a list of items in the house in case of a fire.

It took about a night to do and was really easy! Now I know that I am as prepared as I can be in a mis-fortunate event. I hope that you take the time to create a "Go-Bag" for yourself and family members.

All Moved In

Lordy, it has been a crazy month. We got all moved in thanks to my wonderful family. We still have a long way to go to get it where we want it, but it's a work in progress. I keep hearing that everyone wants pictures, so I thought I would post some. Keep in mind that we have only been in the house for a little less than a month and we've been working on top of everything else that comes with moving!

The office, also the most complete room in the house. We are still looking for ideas on the walls. As you can see they are a little bare. I'm sure that we will come up with something.

The Guest Bedroom
Still incomplete

AHHH! The Unknown Room.
Right now we are using it as storage for teaching stuff, photography stuff, sewing stuff, ...all kinds of stuff really! We are still waiting to get a few bookcases left at the trailer to help organize it all.

Teaching Stuff
Makes me a little sad looking at it. I can't lie I shed a tear or two going through it. Maybe one day I'll get to use it!

Upstairs Hallway
We used those 3m picture hangers, and LOVE them. We really didn't want to put holes in our new home.

Kitchen
I made sure to put our magnets up first. They remind me of how much we are loved every time I grab a drink.

My newest addition, I love the eccentric-ness of it. I can't wait to keep adding to it and changing out some pictures.

This used to be our tv stand in the living room, but it is now holding our china! It's not the perfect solution, but it will do until we can afford a real china cabinet.

Dining Room
We are borrowing this table from Mom and Dad until we can get our own.

The Living Room
It stays empty as daily motivation to save money to buy a living room suit.

Josh's brand new lawn mower!! He cut the grass the other day and loved it! We are so domestic! HA!

Well, there she is. I am currently working on our bedroom, which I hope to finish sometime this month. Stay tuned for updated pics of the house and other shinannigans we happen to get into.
