Spring has Sprung!

Well, it's official Spring has finally hit the Wood house. We have been busy this weekend with plenty of gardening and Spring cleaning. We started the weekend with going to Tuscaloosa, to do the wonderful gumballs. This time it was actually quite nice. Josh has been busy working lately so it was nice to finally get caught up and be able to privately talk about things. Among other learning other things during this process, we are learning to make time for our marriage. A wonderful marriage isn't something just given to you, it's something earned, something that takes constant work. Having a teenager makes it even tougher, but now more than ever we need to be a strong huband and wife to be able to show how love is suppose to look, act, feel.

Back to Spring, Saturday we spend half of the day at Lowes. Boy, we have missed out until this point. There was a party at Lowes on Saturday! So many people in great moods. It's amazing what a little sunshine will do to someone's attitude! We came home with plants, veggies, and optimism that I'm going to be able to keep them all alive. There's something to be said about growing something. I have just heard that if you can keep a plant and not kill it then you should get a pet. If you can keep a pet, you should have a baby. Well Josh and I got this memo a little late in life. LOL. We figured that we have had a teenager for several months, so we should get plants.

After we did a little lawn care and gardening, we decided to break out the sprinkler for Bella. We have done this in the past for Bella and she has absolutely loved it. Well this year she went bonkers because she had someone to play in the sprinkler with her. Yes, teenager Destiny, got her bathing suit on and played in the sprinkler with Bella and actually made a slip-n-slide on her trampoline. You really never know what you are going to get with a teenager. She honestly had fun and so did Bella.

After all that fun, we were so happy to get a call from some family that we (Josh and I) haven't seen in forever or in Destiny's case, never! It was so nice to catch up with them and to see hearts being opened to a new family member. When we decided to let Destiny live with us, we knew that our hearts were open and as the months have come along we are continuously surprised by the people in our lives willing to open their hearts to her to and accept that she is now a part of our family. She isn't just getting a guardians, but a whole new support system that she has never had before. It's a beautiful thing to witness.

We have certainly enjoyed the weather this weekend.
