Mortgages Oh My!

Today, we finally sat down with a mortgage consultant and figured out our price range. To be completely honest,  Josh and I were a little nervous. However, it was really easy! Thursday night, Josh and I sat down with our financial information and filled out an on-line application. Then we went camping and totally forgot about all this house stuff. LOL. When we came back we got in touch with Myron, and met with him the very same day! He sat down with us and really helped us understand the ups and downs of our options available to us. Myron really helped take away that scary feeling you tend to get when you are about to sign your life away. We figured out what our price range would be, and now we are officially ready to start looking at houses. We have an appointment with our real estate agent tomorrow to look at some older homes.

Today, after we met with Myron, we decided to go look at some newer homes (http://www.lundychase.com/), just to make sure that we do want an older home with more character; however, it was quite the contrary. We really like the newer homes too! OH MY!, now what should we do?? We hope after tomorrow we will have a better understanding of what we want. My vote is with the older homes.

By the way, I never got to introduce our real estate agent!

He really just landed in our laps! When we went to go see the Auburn Dr house, the listing agent never answered the phone, so Josh called the next agent he saw with the listing. Don't get us wrong, we asked him the important questions that every first time home buyer should ask. Such as how much experience do you have working with FTHB (First Time Home Buyers)?, Do you have any contacts for mortgage lenders?, etc...He was very knowledgeable in every question we asked him. We have had heard nothing but great reviews on him from others. We really can't wait to start working with him to find our dream home!

Be sure to check back to see the new homes we go tour tomorrow!
